Job Summary
This position is meant to facilitate communication and provide technical and programmatic support in relation to International Disaster Response projects within UMCOR, focusing on all regions with IDR sub-unit programming. This position will consistently interact with key internal and external stakeholders, which requires strong communication skills and relationship building abilities. Excellent attention to detail is required to identify any errors and verify accuracy on all agreements with internal/external partners.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure that all reports, including narrative, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and financial reports as stated in the grant agreements (GA) are done to satisfaction and submitted in a timely manner, reviewed, and approved properly. Coordinate departmental approval to achieve this goal.
- Monitor day-to-day communications with assigned field disaster management offices and grantees to ensure appropriate and full compliance of grant implementation, according to the UMCOR guidelines.
- Support field disaster management offices on capacity building efforts as well as advise on issues of grant management and compliance including start-up, follow up and close out.
- In coordination with the PA team, manage all grant files and documents from initial request to grant close-out and ensures the timely completion of each grant.
- Provide beneficiary impact stories, reporting data and photos/media from assigned projects to UMCOR point person regularly, to be featured in UMCOR/GBGM communications channels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.**
Major Accountabilities
- Provide oversight and partner support throughout the project reporting process, steering reports through all stages of approvals and completion, and managing requests including extensions, programmatic adjustments, and budget realignments.
- Review interim and final reports submitted by grantees to ensure quality project implementation and programmatic/financial compliance.
- Responds to applicant and grantee questions regarding report status, subsequent payments, extensions, budget realignments, closures, and other administrative inquiries.
- Provide capacity development support to partners throughout the grantmaking process on relevant tools and technical components, with an emphasis on oversight of the report process.**
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Development, International Relations, International Health, Humanitarian Assistance, Global Health or related field required.
- Experience living or working overseas and/or working in a multi-cultural organization required.
- Experience working with a faith-based organization is a plus.
- Experience in international grantmaking, research and/or project management is a plus.
- Familiarity with humanitarian standards is a plus.

- · Competency in reading, writing, and speaking a second language preferred (French, Spanish or Portuguese are highly desirable).
Work Hours and Conditions
- FLSA Status: F/T Salaried Exempt
- Location: Remote
- Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday with flexible start/end time) - Evening and weekend work/meetings as necessary)
- Sedentary office/computer/keyboarding/meeting work for extended periods of time
- Travel as required
