BASIC PURPOSE:
This position will provide administrative support across WASH, Food Security/Agriculture, Livelihoods, and special Native American projects portfolios. Day-to-day activities include liaising with program partners, supporting the portfolio grants management processes, and providing operational and clerical support for humanitarian projects spanning 20+ countries.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Monitors day-to-day program-related communications with grantees, ensuring compliance across the grant cycle
- Vets and directs incoming project reports to appropriate interdepartmental staff, ensuring that all components (narrative, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), financial) comply with specifications in grant agreement policy, and are processed, reviewed, and approved in a timely manner
- Guides new and existing grantees through award, disbursement, and reporting processes, working in tandem with senior program and interdepartmental staff
- Monitors and reviews grant files and documentation from initial request to grant closure
- As part of team, develops/updates subunit technical manuals, training materials, RFPs, grants flow checks and balances, and portfolio collateral materials
- Database platform integration/maintenance/updates
- Updates existing tracking tools for grant cycle deliverables and payments
- Manages team calendars, scheduling, and meeting logistics
- Travel as required for assistance with special events or projects

Strong knowledge of international public and institutional donor grantmaking
Knowledge of or experience working with institutional donors, such as but not limited to U.S. government (USAID, DOS, etc.), UN agencies, DFID, EU and Global Fund a plus but not required.
Self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Sense of humor
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, in fields of International Development, Public Health, International Relations, and/or Humanitarian Assistance
Experience working in low resource, developing country contexts a plus
Bilingual in French, Portuguese, and/or Spanish preferred
